The Magi Pay Homage – 1000 pcs Puzzle
The Bulgarian artist Vasil Goranov presents an extraordinary interpretation based on the classical scene from the Bible, depicting the homage paid by the Magi to the new-born Saviour. The picture impresses with its harmonic nuances and great attention to detail. It portrays the moment when the sages from the East offer their gifts to Jesus Christ. From that parable originates the tradition of gifts being exchanged on Christmas Day, which is still observed in the present day.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Vassil Goranov won his first drawing contest at just four years of age. Later he graduated from the Painting programme at St Cyril and St Methodius University in the city of Veliko Tarnovo. With time Goranov outlined his artistic profile and his interest in the historical and military themes became apparent. The artist’s chosen style is historical romanticism, and his paintings ornate history textbooks and covers of scientific volumes.
